Commemorative Hands
Commemorative Hands is a series of contemporary glass sculptures. Each work presents a different shape of the human hand. The series draws on themes such as love, migration, longing and separation, which leave lasting marks on human life. Most pieces are made of semi-transparent colorless cast glass, formed by kiln casting from wax models and hand molds at real size. Antique metal and wood parts are added to suit each story and memory. Some glass forms resemble paper letters, with writing added by carving. The sculptures are exhibited in galleries.

Commemorative Hands Sculpture was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2021. The A' Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which rewards exceptional design of sculptures, paintings, installations, photographs, drawings, mixed media works, ceramics, art objects, craftworks and more.
