Stalker
Stalker is a chest of drawers designed to stand free in the centre of a room, so it can be approached from any side. The piece is made of beechwood, ash wood and plywood, with mirror, galvanized steel and tinned steel elements. Eleven non-identical drawers are placed unevenly on all four sides and are concealed behind a vertical dark texture, while tinned steel handles mark their positions. Four prismatic mirrors form a corner reflector that returns the gaze of the viewer from every standing point. Stalker was built by hand and sits between art and furniture design.
Stalker Chest of Drawers by Camil Octavian Milincu has been featured as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Stalker Chest of Drawers won the Bronze A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2022. The A' Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award that celebrates excellent design of sculptures, paintings, installations, photographs, drawings, mixed media works, ceramics, art objects, craftworks and more.
