Endless Succession
Endless Succession is a ceramic landmark installed at the entrance of the Neidong National Forest Recreation Area in Taiwan. The form resembles an upright figure eight, suggesting the infinity symbol, and recalls the parabola of the Xinxian Waterfall. The permeable structure acts as an archway that leads visitors into the forest. Green surfaces carry red and black Atayal totems and relief carvings of local species, including butterflies, birds and tree frogs. The clay and glaze are fired above 1,200 degrees Celsius, making the handmade work weather resistant, colorfast and safe to touch.
Endless Succession Installation Art by Jin Ying Yei Tao Pottery Ltd was highlighted as an outstanding illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Endless Succession Installation Art was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2024. The A' Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that celebrates superior design of sculptures, paintings, installations, photographs, drawings, mixed media works, ceramics, art objects, craftworks and more.
